I was born in Steubenville, OH, the eldest of four children. I’m a mom and a “Mimi” aka grandmother. I have a very strong connection to family. I get my strong family ties honestly, it’s in my blood. Growing up, we would go to my grandparents house everyday. My mother and her siblings would never allow a day to go by without seeing their mother or as they called her…Mama.

My strong sense of family naturally makes me interested in ancestry. I feel beckoned by my ancestors and in the words of John Henrik Clarke, “when blood calls blood, blood answers.” I’m just answering the call.
